Cooperation between German and Czech far-right parties after 1989. From the anti-German sentiment of the SPR-RSČ to the Czech-German friendship of the DSSS

The thesis topic is the cooperation between the Czech and German far-right. The author focuses on the cooperation of Czech and German extreme-right parties from 1989 to 2019. The thesis aims not only to describe the contacts of the respective parties but also to explore the logic of the relations between the Czech and German extreme right. Adopting the theoretical framework of the Discursive theory of Essex school, the author proceeds to a detailed analysis of the discourses of Czech extreme-right parties about Germans and Germany; she traces back the transformations of the original anti-German discourses and the origins of these changes. Against the background of these processes, she explores the transformations of the "conditions of possibility" that make Czech-German cooperation "conceivable" for both Czech and German extreme-right parties. The author explores the changes in the discursive conditions that allow Czech-German friendship to be "rationalised" and justified despite the contradictory positions on the issues of the Czech-German past. The author analyses the anti-German discourse of the SPR-RSČ in the 1990s and examines the circumstances of the SPR-RSČ's alleged contacts with the German Die Republikaner. Adéla Zelenda Kupcová Abstract: Dissertation Narrative identity in biographical narratives of extremist scene leaders in Central Europe deals with analysis of biographical narratives of the extremist scene's prominent leaders in select Central European countries (the former German Democratic Republic, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary). It is based on the theory of social constructivism, and its aim is to analyze how and under what experience the leading representatives of the extremist scene construct their narrative identities, what life events have influenced their attitudes and worldviews, how they present themselves and how they understand themselves and their roles in life. The Electoral Success of Far-right in Slovakia: An Empirical Analysis

The aim of the thesis is to find factors that were catalysts or inhibitors of the unexpected electoral success of the far-right Slovak party People's Party - Our Slovakia and to create a model that describes its electoral gains elections across districts in the latest 2016 Slovak parliamentary election. For this purpose, methods of linear regression and spatial regression analysis are applied. The thesis concludes that using specific demographic, socioeconomic and in the case of spatial regression as well geographic characteristics of individual electoral districts such as share of population with higher education, share of male population, substantial presence of Roma or Hungarian minority etc., the electoral gains of the party across them can be relatively accurately estimated.

Political extremism in the town, the region

The theoretical part of the thesis is divided into individual chapters that define the basic terminology associated with political extremism . In particular, it focuses on the concepts of extremism , radicalism and Anti-Gypsyism . Defined the concepts of political extremism , right-wing and left-wing political extremism , far right and far left, legal and illegal political parties and political movements in the Czech Republic and the law against extremism. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the socio-economic characteristics of the Šluknovsko and the city Varnsdorf. Analyzed the individual factors that contribute to the development of political extremism in the region. It is a factor of unemployment, crime, ethnic composition of the population and socially excluded localities. The practical part of the thesis is a survey that aimed to determine whether they are residents of the city Varnsdorf satisfied with life in Šluknovsko. Also felt that the presence of political extremism in the region. The questionnaire is evaluated at the end .
